The police intervened, bringing the riot under control, and two students were arrested, with searches ongoing for further criminals.

Reporting from the area on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, our correspondent Nana Kwame said the incident occurred after male students of NTI visited Nkoranza SECTHEC , to propose to some female students, which infuriated male students of SECTHEC, leading to the riot.

Meanwhile, Mr. Isaac Amankwaa, the Municipal Education Director of Nkoranza South, has narrated that calm has been restored.

A committee he announced has been set up by the Bono Regional Minister, the Municipal Chief Executive, and the Police Commander to investigate the cause of the riot.
