A Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee of Parliament, Dr. Clement Apaak, has taken a swipe at Dr. Kojo Poly for stating that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will investigate the alleged expired rice scandal.
Dr. Apaak, who is also the Member of Parliament for Builsa South, is wondering if Ghanaians should wait for the Vice President to be elected President before this scandal is investigated.
He noted that schoolchildren have been fed unwholesome food, and instead of proving the matter now to ensure those behind it are prosecuted, he is rather telling the people the Vice President will investigate if he is elected.
He described the scandal as criminal wickedness for which those behind it must be punished.
He is asking and demanding an answer as to what prevents the Vice President from initiating a probe into the scandal, especially when he is taking credit for the implementation of various initiatives under this government.
He had therefore admonished Ghanaians to use this opportunity in voting out this administration for feeding “our schoolchildren with expired rice.”.
He said in a post on X formerly Twitter saying
“Our children are being fed unwholesome food under a government whose Veep is the Flagbearer of the same party currently in government, and you are telling Ghanaians that the same Veep/Flagbearer will investigate such criminal wickedness when he becomes President? What prevents DMB from causing an investigation into this matter now? Is he not on record claiming to have initiated and led all manner of initiatives? Ghanaians must severely punish DMB/NPP for feeding our children expired rice”.
