The Agona Swedru Divisional Police Command has arrested a man accused of beheading an Okada rider in Kwame Adwen, a village near Gomoa Afransi in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.
The suspect has been identified as Augustine Ankomah, an Okada rider in his thirties.
According to available details, the suspect attempted to sell the human head to a Togolese woman in Kwame Adwen.
He reportedly approached the woman on Saturday, December 14, and informed her that he had a human head for sale.
According to the police, the woman informed a herbalist (name withheld for security reasons) who also lives in the village that Ankomah had told her he had a human head for sale.
The herbalist is said to have mobilised some young people in the area and went to ambush the Togolese’s house, where Ankomah, true to his word, appeared with the head.
Following the arrest of the Okada rider, it was discovered that the human head belonged to Kwame Fosu, who was allegedly murdered six days prior.
