Following the swearing-in of some ministers with leadership positions in Parliament on the side of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party and its leadership have made some changes in its leadership.
Mahama Ayariga, the MP for Bawku, has replaced Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the finance minister, as majority leader.
The party says the changes form part of efforts aimed at bolstering the leadership team within the Majority Caucus as they advance their governance agenda.
Kweku George Ricketts-Hagan, the MP for Cape Coast South, has been named the Deputy Majority Leader.
Other changes include Governs Agbodza being replaced as majority chief whip by South Dayi MP Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor.
Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, the MP for Ada Constituency, will now serve as the First Deputy Whip, while Richard Acheampong, MP for Bia East, assumes the role of Second Deputy Majority Whip.
