The family of the late Ga Manye, Naa Deide Omaaduro, Il, which included the husband’s family and executive family members, held an emergency meeting over the weekend to address the recent fake burial reports of their beloved queen mother.
The meeting, according to the family, was to first pave the way for them to begin the preparations for the official and final rites of the late queen mother.

Mr. Farouke, executive secretary of the Ga Manye, advised the public to be wary of misinformation and to rely solely on official communications from the family or authorised representatives.
He warned individuals who are spreading information about the fake burial of the late queen mother to be guided, else the family take drastic action against them.
On the date for the burial, he said the late queen mother’s husband’s family, the maternal and paternal sides, have all met; it will serve as the springboard for them to catapult their next general meeting.

The next phase, he said, would be to speak to all other stakeholders who would be assisting with the final rites.

According to him, the late queen was not an ordinary person because she served almost all presidents right from the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah up until former President Akufo-Addo.
“We appreciate the love and respect shown to our beloved queen mother, and we assure the public that we will ensure a dignified and fitting farewell for her,” the statement concluded.

Mr. Farouke said the family has urged anyone with information about the source of the fake reports to come forward and assist in putting an end to the spread of misinformation.
“The late Ga Manye Naa Deide Omaaduro was a revered figure in the community, and her passing has been met with an outpouring of grief and tributes from across the region.”
The family has promised to keep the public informed about the burial arrangements and has asked for the continued support and understanding of the community during this difficult time.
Regarding security for the final rites, he stated that the family had engaged the previous government and will engage the new government to make security arrangements, as well as implement their own security measures.
Family Spokesperson Ga Asafoatse Asere Adgorshie Nii Kotey Ga, the family expressed
their disappointment and concern over the false reports circulating in the media, claiming that the queen mother had been buried.

“We wish to inform the general public that these reports are completely false and should be disregarded,” the statement read.
He maintained that the body of our beloved queen mother is still in the custody of the family, and they will soon release a timeline for a proper and befitting burial ceremony.

He poured libation and prayed to the forefathers and the gods, asking them to deal ruthlessly with those spreading false information about the late queen mother.
