The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has launched an online application portal for first-year students in public tertiary institutions to apply for the No-Fee-Stress policy, a financial assistance initiative aimed at providing support for first-year students.
The launch was held today, Tuesday, April 29, 2025, with the core objective to improve access to higher education in Ghana by removing financial barriers faced by students.
In his remarks, the Minister stated that the No-Fee-Stress policy is a “transformative, bold, and visionary initiative” aimed at tackling the financial constraints that prevent many Ghanaian students from pursuing tertiary education.
Meanwhile, the Students Loan Trust Fund has issued a statement describing the policy as a strategic investment in Ghana’s human capital and a key driver of inclusive and accessible higher learning.
