Cobby Wilson, the Awutu Senya East National Democratic Congress Deputy Communications Officer, has slammed former Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson.
He stated that the former MP does not deserve any form of sympathy but rather prosecution.
He accused her of perpetuating lawlessness and thuggery, which led to the death of some people and left several others injured.
Cobby Wilson was reacting to concerns raised by Mavis Hawa Koomson regarding the attack on her during the Ablekuma North parliamentary election rerun on the 19 polling stations.
Speaking on “Frontline” on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the NDC communicator stated that she deserves no mercy, sympathy, apology, or leniency. She must be held to account for the things she did while her government was in office.
“We have heard her speak in an interview complaining that the President and his Vice had not called to apologize to her for the attacks she suffered. For the past twelve years, what we have endured and what she had done to us, particularly NDC members, is terrible, and yet today, she is demanding apology and consolation. She deserves no such sympathy from anyone. What she deserves is prosecution for the lawlessness she engaged in while in office.”
He told host Kwabena Agyapong that when these things were done by her, the previous President and his Vice did not say anything about the situation.
He alleged that the current NDC MP, Naa Koryoo, went through very bizarre attacks at the hands of Hawa Koomson, and yet has not been punished.
“If there are people who need sympathy, it should not be Hawa Koomson. Those who deserve the sympathy are those who died through her lawlessness. There were several people at the polling stations, so why was she the only one who was attacked?”
