Hajia Zahara Ligbi, wife of the late Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, one of the eight helicopter crash victims, has paid a glowing tribute to her late husband.
In a tribute read on her behalf at the state funeral held on August 15, 2025, the wife described him as a disciplined man.
She noted that her late husband bore the demands of public service with patience, diligence, and dignity, yet he never allowed that to overshadow the love and attention he gave to his family.
“Your gift was not only leadership, it was the ability to make family wherever you went. In every region of this country, your presence was felt and your absence will be deeply mourned. You opened our door and your heart, you sponsored education for those with promise, you settled disputes with calm wisdom, and you always stood beside the vulnerable when they had no one else. Because of you, our family grew beyond blood, stretching across the length and breadth of Ghana, held together by trust, gratitude and love,” she stated.
The widow also stated that her late husband was a man of principle, yet he carried those principles with humility.
“You inspired loyalty not because you demanded it, but because you earned it through your character. You touched lives in ways that cannot be counted, and your absence will leave a space that no one can fill. I will miss your laughter in our home, your gentle reassurances in times of difficulty, and your quiet strength that made me feel safe no matter the storm. I will hold on to every memory, every lesson, and every blessing that our marriage brought me,” she added.
