The Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, is scheduled to present the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
Deputy Majority Leader, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, announced the date on the floor of the House on Tuesday, 14 July, whilst presenting the Business Statement for the upcoming parliamentary week.
The mid-year review will evaluate the country’s economic performance over the first half of the year, provide an update on the implementation of the 2026 Budget, and outline any proposed fiscal policy adjustments.
Presenting the business scheduling, Mr Ricketts-Hagan stated: “On the issue of the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review, the date is Thursday, July 23; that is when the Finance Minister will come here to present the Mid-Year Review, as to whether a statement or what have you, that is in the hands of the Finance Minister and I cannot pre-empt that,” he said.
Among key economic indicators, the Finance Minister is also expected to update Parliament on Ghana’s ongoing engagement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
This includes the successful completion of the country’s Extended Credit Facility (ECF) programme and the planned transition to the IMF’s Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI), which will guide macroeconomic policy after the exit of the bailout programme.
