Organisers of the Love Ghana Campaign (Love the City Campaign) are set to kick off the Kasoa edition with a massive clean-up exercise on Saturday, 25 July 2026.

The initiative is organised by the Local Council of Churches and local ecumenical bodies in partnership with the Global Network of Evangelists—a ministry of the Palau team.

The broader campaign spans five regions, featuring outreaches across Cape Coast, Kasoa, and rural communities, alongside major festivals in Cape Coast, Kasoa, and Kumasi.

Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM, project leads Rev. Samuel Ashmond Mensah, Religious Body Registrar and Coordinator for the Local Council of Churches, and Samuel Kwame Antwi, Mobiliser and Regional Coordinator, urged residents, business owners, and transport operators to participate fully.

Mr Antwi explained that the Local Council of Churches and ecumenical bodies are working alongside international evangelists from Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa, and beyond to bring the vision to life. He noted that the ‘Love Your City’ sanitation drive serves as a vital prelude to the main Love Ghana event, mobilizing local churches, transport workers, and traders to restore the area.

Rev. Mensah highlighted Kasoa’s status as a major commercial hub with three central markets, noting that the high volume of waste generated requires consistent intervention.

Expressing concern over how quickly filth returns after national clean-up drives, he stressed that religious bodies must lead efforts to keep the environment habitable and assured the public that the campaign will not be a short-lived initiative.

The clean-up will cover five zones, targeting key locations from the Kasoa Overhead to Walanto Junction, the Police Station, market centres, and Second Junction. Rev. Mensah appealed to local business operators to pause trading during the exercise and reopen only after the streets are cleared.

He emphasised that maintaining a clean environment is a collective duty, warning that poor sanitation spreads disease, hinders productivity, and threatens public health.

Beyond the clean-up, the Love Ghana Campaign will feature a series of spiritual and community events. These include the Pastors and Church Leaders’ Renew Conference—designed to equip ministry leaders with biblical insights and church growth strategies—alongside an Innovative Evangelism Masterclass to build practical outreach skills among believers.

The schedule also includes youth creative arts training, school and tertiary outreach programmes, street bashes, and festival training.
