The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance operations in parts of the Ashanti Region to enhance service delivery across its network.
According to public notices issued by the power distributor, the scheduled maintenance activities will lead to temporary power outages in several communities across two separate days.
The first phase of the exercise is scheduled for Tuesday, 4th August 2026, between 9:00am and 4:00pm.
Residents and businesses operating in Parts of Breman, Nyankyerenease, Owabi, Bokankye, Kwanwoma, Afrancho, Konkori, New Aduampong, Kentikyire, Apire, Hemang, Ampatia, Darko, Trede, Kotwi, Nkoransa, Habitat, Bekwame, Kyekyewere, Parts of Kokoben, Apraman, Fankyenebra, Atasomanso, Santase, Yabi, Merewadwa, Pakyi No.1&2, Kokode, Aburaso, Kromoase, Agric Nzema, Akyeremade, Nkawie, Toase, Nerebehi, Gyankobaa, and surrounding areas will experience an interruption in electricity supply during this period.

The maintenance work will continue on Wednesday, 5th August 2026, within the same timeframe of 9:00am to 4:00pm. Areas expected to be affected during this second phase include Akrafo Kokoben, Akwaboa, Sepaase, Tabere, Bekwame, Kyekyewere, Paa, Semanhyia, and adjoining communities.
The power company expressed regret over the inconvenience the planned maintenance will cause to consumers in the affected localities and assured the public that power will be restored promptly upon completion of the works.
