The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for Inspector Ahmed Twumasi in connection with the suspected murder of Maa Adwoa, a 26-year-old lady from Adum in the Ashanti region.
The officer was assigned to Palace security at Manhyia Palace.
Tyacoon is his popular name.
On Thursday, April 20, 2023, he reportedly shot the 26-year-old mother of one Maa Adwoa in Adum, in front of Dufie Towers in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
The police inspector is also a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) squad of the Ashanti regional police headquarters.
According to police sources, he allegedly shot his girlfriend (side chick) five times for adultery, which is intimately related with the deceased.

The now-missing police officer then implored her to forget about the incident and begged her to reconsider the split decision.
