The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has lifted the freezing order on Ms Cecilia Dapaah’s five (5) bank accounts.
This was stated by the OSP in a statement.
The OSP stated that the freezing order remains in effect with regard to Ms Dapaah’s other bank accounts and financial assets.
In July 2023, the Special Prosecutor initiated an investigation into suspected corruption and related offenses involving Ms. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, involving significant amounts of money and other valuable items.
To help the investigation, the Special Prosecutor took steps such as putting a freeze order on Ms Dapaah’s bank accounts and other financial assets.
As a result, the investigation cleared five (5) of Ms Dapaah’s bank accounts of having tainted property.
