George Emil, youth organiser for the New Patriotic Party in South London, has appealed to Ghanaians to retain the party in the 2024 presidential election.
He stated that it is only the NPP that will be able to deliver on its promises when elected into office, hence the need for Ghanaians to vote massively for it in the December 7 general elections.
He explained that the economy of Ghana performs far better under an NPP government compared to the NDC.
He has therefore admonished Ghanaian voters to consider Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and give him an opportunity to serve since he has what it takes to continue on the foundation President Akufo-Addo has built.
He admitted that Ghana was facing economic challenges, which he noted were a global phenomenon.
He stated that countries that are known to be strong economically are facing crises, and so it would not be prudent for anyone to limit the crisis only to Ghana.
He believes it would be disingenuous to dispute the economic crisis affecting Ghana.
George Emil, speaking to Dr. Ren on Rainbow Radio 92.4 FM, UK, said interest rates, high cost of living, depression, and other crises are biting hard at UK citizens, just as we are experiencing in Ghana.
“It would therefore be politically disingenuous for anyone to dispute the crisis going on, but the person ought to be candid and situate the crisis on a global stage when speaking about the crisis in Ghana.
He said “we admit that there are economic challenges confronting Ghana. But these challenges are not limited to Ghana. It is a global problem. It will be disingenuous for anyone to claim that there is no crisis going on in Ghana. But while admitting to these challenges, we have also put measures in place to address them.
The government, led by President Akufo-Addo, is handling the crisis. He and his team have put in place measures aimed at resolving the crisis. We can assure Ghanaians that the NPP is the only party with the capacity to manage the economic crisis. We have what it takes to make the economy better.”
