The Fourth Estate has presented a full dossier on its investigation into alleged payroll fraud at the National Service Secretariat to the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Committee and MP for North Tongue, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
The media and investigative outlet conducted an investigation into an alleged fraud at the NSS.
Officials at NSS made attempts to stop the Fourth Estate from publishing a series of investigative stories on acts of corruption that were due to be released on December 3, 2024.
But their attempts were thrown out by the High Court, and they were fined Ghc 6,000.
The Fourth Estate has today, Friday, December 20, submitted a dossier on its investigation to the ORAL Committee.
Commenting on it, Mr. Ablakwa posted on Facebook, expressing gratitude to the Fourth Estate and the Media Foundation for West Africa.
His post read, “Team ORAL has today received the full dossier on the National Service ghost names scandal, which conservative estimates indicate has cost Ghana over GHS500 million.
We are extremely grateful to The Fourth Estate and the Media Foundation for West Africa for the presentation and their exceptional patriotism.
Together, we shall reset Ghana and recover all loot.”
