The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has uncovered a nearly decomposed body of a young woman at Sunyani Magazine.
The body was recovered by personnel from the GNFS on Friday, February 28, 2025.
The Sunyani Municipal Fire Station, led by Station Officer Yahaya and later joined by Regional Operations Officer DO II Noekor, responded to the distress call at 5:30 PM.
The service disclosed that its preliminary investigation into the manager has revealed that the victim was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend and dumped in the septic tank three weeks ago.
The suspect has since been arrested and is assisting the police with their investigation.
“Preliminary reports suggest the victim was murdered by her boyfriend and dumped into a septic tank approximately three weeks ago.
The suspect has since been arrested, and the police have taken charge of the body for further investigations,” the service said in a statement.
