‘Agradaa getting sentenced to 15 years in jail is normal and not anything new’ – Husband

July 3, 2025
Agradaa and Husband

Mr. Asiamah, the husband of the convicted self-proclaimed evangelist Patricia Asiamah, also known as Nana Agradaa, has pledged to stand by his wife throughout her 15-year jail term.

Speaking to journalists after his wife’s sentencing, the pastor disclosed that the church established by Agradaa will continue to operate. He stated that the church and its members would continue to pray for his convicted wife.

He compared her situation to that of prophets like Paul and Silas, and even Jesus Christ, who faced similar hardships.

“I am not really bothered, but physically, this is disturbing. However, in the eyes of God, this is not a challenge and is normal because the likes of Paul and Silas were imprisoned. Jesus Christ, the Savior, was crucified for our sins. Other prophets who came before us were punished through imprisonment. After this challenge, I am sure she will witness some major blessings. It is disturbing, but that is what has happened. It is unfortunate, but it is not news,” he said.

He added, “Church services will be ongoing. I am a pastor, and she is also an ‘Osofomaame’ [pastor’s wife], and her conviction does not change anything. The fact that she has been sent to 15 years imprisonment is not news.”

Meanwhile, the lawyer for Agradaa has expressed their displeasure with the outcome of the case.

He claimed that the testimonies and evidence provided by her accusers were not strong enough to warrant a 15-year jail sentence.

“We believe the woman is hated for no reason, and that may have influenced what has happened or why she has been punished. We will apply the law on the way forward,” they stated.
