Nana Mosi Bansere, President of the Traditional Priests Association of Ghana, has revealed that the Association discovered that Ghana’s parliament voted against the anti-LGBTQI+ bill through its engagements with deities and their ancestors.
The traditional priest stated on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 Fm that there is an attempt by some parliamentarians to reject the bill.
He warned that if our MPs reject the bill, traditional priests will travel to the spiritual realm and visit incurable diseases and other life-threatening illnesses.
He opined that the issue of homosexuality should not even be discussed in public and that Ghanaians who value their tradition and the need for marriage between a man and a woman must resist all forms of pressure to have the bill rejected.
He claimed that Ghana’s economic crisis has become one of the major challenges that could lead to the country softening its stance on homosexuality.
“As we speak, in the spiritual realm, parliament has refused to approve the anti-LGBTQI+ bill.” As an Association, we want to warn our legislators to be cautious. We will curse them if they vote against the bill. I’m referring to spiritual matters. I don’t want anyone to think I’m threatening our lawmakers. I’m not threatening them. We are currently on our way to a body of water, where we will strip naked and invoke spirits with seven cows, seven fowls, seven schnapps, and seven goats.
This should be their first warning. We don’t want them to even consider it. If they refuse to do what we want, they will see where the power is.
If they do not take care of them, some of them will rot and others will be unable to walk again. They must tread carefully or they will regret it.”
