A 28-year-old ex-convict, Bentsil Bubarick, has been beaten to death in a clear case of “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” at Enyan Oboom in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency in the Central Region.
This was after the deceased suspect, on Thursday evening, October 2, 2023, stormed the house of his ex-girlfriend, who appears to be an identical twin, to butcher her, leaving him heartbroken, having called off their relationship, but unfortunately met the twin sister of his ex-girlfriend.
Mistaking her for his ex-girlfriend, the ex-convict pounced on his ex-girlfriend’s twin sister and started butchering her, which had the lady’s father rush to the scene to intervene, but he had himself stabbed by the suspect, who immediately bolted to hide himself.
The twin was later rushed to the Ajumako District Government Hospital, where she was offered the needed medical care together with her father.
Atta Kakra, speaking to Rainbow News Eric Annan a day after her twin sister’s attack, recounted having countlessly advised Bentsil to quit smoking marijuana but blatantly refused to heed her call. Thus, her decision to cut ties with him
About an hour before the interview, news broke that Atta Kakra, whose other twin was on admission at the hospital, had been gruesomely murdered by Bentsil Bubarick upon realising he had mistaken his earlier victim for Atta Kakra.
A report has it that the suspect, after murdering his ex-girlfriend, dragged and dumped her inside a river and escaped.
Irate residents who couldn’t sit aloof and watch the suspect roam about freely following his alleged atrocity mounted a search on him to subsequently have him beaten to a pulp upon his capture, which led to his death.
Brother to the deceased twin, Abeiku Crentsil, before the deceased suspect’s arrest by the Enyan Oboom residents, expressed having been similarly attacked by the suspect, who often threatens to kill all family members of the twin; if caught, he shouldn’t be spared.
