Residents of New Abirem have lashed the mortal remains of a young man named as Malik.
The residents took the deceased from his casket and whips him numerous times.
The incident happened in the Birim North District near New Abirem.
The incident occurred on November 8, 2023.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that the residents labelled the deceased as evil and disrespectful.
Their contention was that the deceased was conceited and did not treat his fellow beings with dignity.
The incident has since gone viral, eliciting a variety of reactions.
One of the deceased’s family members denounced the residents for their actions.
He stated that the person was deceased and was being buried, thus there was no need for them to do so.
