President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Justina Nelson as the acting chief executive officer (CEO) of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF).
A statement issued by Acting Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu received that the appointment takes immediate effect.
It comes less than 24 hours after the President revoked the former CEO, Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng’s appointment.
Until her appointment, Justina Nelson was the Group Head at Zenith Bank with oversight responsibility for both the energy and commercial banking sectors.
She holds a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law, a Master in Business Administration (Marketing), a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Management and Psychology.
The statement read, “The President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has, in accordance with Article 195 (1) of the Constitution and Section 21 (2) of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) Act, 2018 (Act 978), appointed Ms. Justina Nelson as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income Investment Fund.”
