A jealous lover, identified as Joseph Richard, allegedly set fire to his girlfriend’s room following their breakup.
According to available details, the incident occurred at dawn, around 3 AM, in Axim, Western Region of Ghana, while the woman’s children slept.
The victims, Joseph Ben, 16, and Richlove Asiedua Yeboah, 3, were referred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Some residents expressed shock and accused the suspect, now on the run, of deliberately setting the house ablaze.
The lady reportedly ended the relationship due to threats from the suspect’s mother.
Relatives of the victims are calling on the police and the public to assist in apprehending the suspect.
One of the children was also said to have died as a result of the burns.
