A fatal accident occurred on the Nyinahin-Bibiani highway on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, resulting in the loss of two lives.
Several others sustained serious injuries in the collision, which involved a tricycle and an articulated truck loaded with bags of cement.
The tricycle, which was heading towards Bibiani, was carrying passengers who were chanting a song, ‘yen ko wu’, which translates to ‘we are going to die’.
According to Agya Bismark, reporting on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, some of the injured passengers suffered damaged legs.
One of the deceased was reportedly awaiting his BECE results from the just-ended examination organised in June this month.
